Organisation DSC — Frequently Asked Questions
Individual DSC is issued in the person's own name only — for Income Tax, GST, EPFO personal filings. Organisation DSC links the person to a legal entity — both the person's name AND the company name appear on the certificate. Portals like Startup India, NSWS and ICEGATE (company login) require this entity-level certificate.
Organisation DSC contains only a Signature certificate — it signs documents with the company identity but cannot encrypt e-tender bids. Org Combo DSC contains both Signature AND Encryption — mandatory for GeM, CPPP, IREPS and wbtenders.gov.in bid submission. If you need to bid on tenders, you need Org Combo, not Organisation DSC.
